What to expect, what to wear, and what to bring before you arrive at either ranch. When in doubt, give us a call.
Arrival
Give yourself half an hour before your first start time.
Both ranches are private. Guests visit alongside a sponsoring member or by prior arrangement with our staff— there is no walk-up access at either property.
Check in at the pro shop. Every guest shows a government-issued photo ID, signs a waiver, and sits through a safety briefing. Thirty minutes covers all of it without rushing, plus the drive out to your bay.

What to Wear
Light, covered, and closed-toe
Dress for a long day outside. Light, breathable layers in colors that do not hold heat.
You will walk more than you expect: gravel, caliche, loose rock, are typical surfaces. Closed-toe shoes with real tread are required. A ball cap is recommended and hooded sun shirts are a pro tip.
- Crew neck, collared shirt or hooded sun shirt
- Closed-toe shoes with a grip sole; no sandals or canvas slip-ons
- A brimmed hat, worn forward
- Long, light pants beat shorts on the rock and in the brush
What to Bring
The short list
Eye and ear protection are required. Bring your own if you have it - glasses rated to ANSI Z87.1 and muffs or plugs in the 22–33 dB range - and the pro shop has loaners if you do not.
Everything else on this list is about staying comfortable throughout the day. If you forget it, or don’t want to travel with your items, our full-service pro shops will have you covered.

- Insect repellent, especially in Texas
- Factory ammunition, or buy it at the pro shop
Weather
Plan for a full day outdoors
Texas is hot and humid from late spring through September; Nevada is hot and dry, then sees temperatures drop once the sun is off the valley floor. Both are exposed. Shade is limited but available.
Start hydrated and drink water the night before and throughout your visit.

Common questions
Can I rent a firearm?
Yes. Handguns and rifles are available for rent, including the full current Staccato lineup. Rental use requires a staff member to be present.
Can I bring my own targets?
Paper targets are welcome. Steel, reactive, and explosive targets must be approved by a staff member before use.
Is holster work allowed?
Drawing from a holster is permitted after proof of competence has been witnesses by a staff member.
What are the hours?
Each property has its own hours, and they vary based on the season. Please call or email us ahead of your visit to ensure you have the latest information.
What happens if the weather turns?
Our staff carefully monitors the weather and will issue property wide alerts should danger arise.
